A man has been charged with murder after an altercation in a Dublin restaurant on Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n

Michael Andrecut, 22, from Corduff, west Dublin<\/strong>, appeared before a special sitting of the Criminal Courts of Justice on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

Tristan Sherry, 26, was killed after an assault and a man in his 40s suffered gunshot wounds during an altercation at Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown at around 8pm on 24 December.<\/p>\n

Detective Sergeant Mark Murphy told the court Andrecut made no reply to the charge.<\/p>\n

Andrecut, who appeared in court in a black hoodie, was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Cloverhill District Court via videolink on 2 January.<\/p>\n

The injured man remains in a critical condition in hospital.<\/p>\n

Irish police had increased patrols of the area after the incident.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
